Michael Alec Rose – ‘Everything under the Sun: 4 seasons for 2 violins’ (2009)

Three master pieces, written in the years around the apocalypse of the ‘Great War’.

The Kreutzers are delighted to welcome back David Owen Norris, one of Britain’s greatest musicians and communicators. David is the authority on Elgar’s piano writing; here he plays Elgar’s astonishing Quintet,
begun at the end of the War.

Nashville-based Michael Alec Rose is well known to Wilton’s audiences: this is the second new work that he has composed with the theatre’s beautiful acoustic and atmosphere in mind.
